Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I benefited” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَاسْتَفَدْتُ بِالنَّظَرِ فِيهَا مِنْ مُلاحَظَةٍ سَيْرِ القَوْمِ،
So I benefited from observing the conduct of the people.
فَاسْتَفَدْتُ — so I benefited. This token fuses fa- ('so') with a past-tense verb carrying the -tu 'I' ending. The fa- marks this as the consequence of what preceded, 'so I...', while the augmented verb pattern gives 'derived benefit'. The -tu pins the speaker as the one who benefited.
