Arabic vocabulary
How to say “observation” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَاسْتَفَدْتُ بِالنَّظَرِ فِيهَا مِنْ مُلاحَظَةٍ سَيْرِ القَوْمِ،
So I benefited from observing the conduct of the people.
مُلاحَظَةٍ — an observation. An action noun ('an observing/noting') turned from a verb so a preposition can govern it; it sits in the genitive after 'from'. It is indefinite, a kind of observing, and it heads its own 'of' link to the conduct that follows. English uses an '-ing' noun the same way.
