Arabic vocabulary
How to say “immerse” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ترى الرجل يقدم على أمر يظن فيه لذة أو منفعة، فينغمس فيه،
You see a man rushing into something he thinks brings pleasure or benefit, and he immerses himself in it,
فَيَنْغَمِسُ — and he immerses. The fa- attaches this as the next step, and the verb means he sinks deep into the matter, with 'he' built in. The prefix shows the result-flow of the narration; the doer is inside the verb form.
