How to say “in their turn” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَبَلَّغُوا هُمْ بِدَوْرِهِمْ مَا وَعَوُوهُ وَحَفِظُوهُ وَمَا كَتَبُوهُ
And they, in their turn, transmitted what they had understood and memorized and what they had written.
بدورهم — in their turn. The relator 'bi-' plus a noun 'turn/role' plus the possessor '-hum' = 'their', all in one word: 'in their turn'. The relator marks the manner of the action and governs the noun into the genitive; the idiom means each did their part in sequence.
