How to say “they wrote it” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَبَلَّغُوا هُمْ بِدَوْرِهِمْ مَا وَعَوُوهُ وَحَفِظُوهُ وَمَا كَتَبُوهُ
And they, in their turn, transmitted what they had understood and memorized and what they had written.
كَتَبُوهُ — they wrote it. A past verb with a plural 'they' subject and an attached '-hu' = 'it' object pointing to this second 'what': 'they wrote it'. One word carries subject, verb and object, closing the final relative clause.
