Likewise, Ibn Abbas said it begins with rain and then returns with it every year.
وَكَذَلِكَ — likewise. This joins 'and' to the demonstrative phrase 'likewise/like that'. Built from 'like' plus a demonstrative, it points back to the previously stated view and marks the new statement as matching it. It links and compares in one word.

وَكَذَلِكَ — and likewise. This fuses the connector wa- to the comparison word 'likewise', meaning 'and likewise'. It signals that the same rule carries over to a new case, extending the point from one prophet to another.
