Arabic vocabulary
How to say “inflate” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
والباطل ينفخه هواءً ثم يتركه فارغًا
while falsehood inflates it with air, leaving it empty.
يَنْفُخُهُ — inflates it. Present 'inflates it', with 'it' (the deed) attached as object — puffs it up.
From: When Hidden Deeds Are Shown →وَنَفَخَ فِيكَ مِنْ رُوحِهِ
And He breathed into you from His Spirit.
وَنفخ — and He breathed. This joins the linking wa- to a past-tense verb, 'breathed', with its 'He' subject inside. The wa- continues the list of Adam's distinctions, while the verb names the next act, the divine in-breathing, with the agent carried inside the form.
