Arabic vocabulary
How to say “its deferred part” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَدْ خُطِبَتْ خَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ وَبُذِلَ لَهَا الصَّدَاقُ مَا آجِلَهُ وَعَاجِلُهُ مِنْ مَالِي،
And Khadijah bint Khuwaylid was betrothed, and her dowry, both its deferred and its immediate parts, was paid from my wealth,
آجِلَهُ — its deferred part. A noun ending in -hu, an attached 'its', so it bundles 'the deferred part' with its owner in one word. The -hu points back to the dowry, marking this as the portion belonging to it, set in contrast with the immediate part named next.
