  اجْعَلْ — make!. A command, 'make, render!', its bare clipped form is the imperative. 'ja'ala' here takes two objects — make X into Y — so expect both a thing and what it becomes.

  وَأَجْعَلُ — and I dedicate. 'and I make, assign', present with 'I' inside, joined by 'wa'. Like the earlier 'make', it sets up 'turn X toward Y'.

  The herbalist said, 'Take this medicine and put it in one of its eyes.'

  واجعله — and put it. The connector 'and' fused to a second command-verb, 'and put', with the object 'it' attached. The bare command is to 'you', and the suffix points back to the medicine.

  He recited in the morning prayer 'Say, He is Allah, the One,' until he reached 'and there is none equal to Him,' then said: O Allah, if there is anyone on earth, make him my equal.

  فَاجْعَلْهُ — so make him. This is fa- 'then' (the answer to 'if') plus the command 'make' plus the attached -hu 'him'. The fa- marks the result half of the condition, and the verb is an imperative with its object mounted on it.
