How to say “Mary” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
I was informed that it was said to Jesus, son of Mary, peace be upon him:
مَرْيَمِ — Mary. A proper name as the owning half of the 'son of ...' pair, in the 'of' (genitive) form the construction requires. It names the parent in the patronymic. Its case comes from its place in the name-chain.
