How to say “men” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَغَدًا الصَّحَابَةُ الْكِرَامُ رِجَالُهُمْ وَنِسَاءُهُمْ يَسْأَلُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ
So the next morning the noble Companions, both men and women among them, asked the Messenger of God.
رِجَالُهُمْ — their men. A noun 'men' with -hum ('their') attached, the owner folded onto its tail — 'their men'. It stands in apposition to the Companions, breaking that group into its parts, and the -hum points back to them. It begins spelling out who among the Companions did the asking.
