How to say “women” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَغَدًا الصَّحَابَةُ الْكِرَامُ رِجَالُهُمْ وَنِسَاءُهُمْ يَسْأَلُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ
So the next morning the noble Companions, both men and women among them, asked the Messenger of God.
وَنِسَاءُهُمْ — and their women. The connector wa- ('and') fused onto a noun ending in -hum ('their') — 'and their women'. The wa- coordinates this with 'their men' to complete the breakdown of the Companions into both sexes. The -hum points back to the same group, balancing the pair of subjects.
