Arabic vocabulary
عَزِيزٌ is how you say “mighty” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
وَأَخْبِرْهُ أَنَّهُ مَعَهُمْ بِهِدَايَتِهِ وَنَصْرِهِ الْعَزِيزِ وَفَتْحِهِ الْمُبِينِ
And inform him that He is with them by His guidance, and His mighty help, and His clear victory.
الْعَزِيزِ — the mighty. A describing word made definite by al- to agree with the noun it modifies in definiteness and case. Arabic adjectives trail their noun and copy its grammatical marks, so this 'mighty' is bound to 'help' before it.
