How to say “Muhammad” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وَهَذَا رَسُولُهُ الْبَشَرِيُّ مُحَمَّدٌ،
And this is His human Messenger, Muhammad.
مُحَمَّدٌ — Muhammad. A proper name, in apposition to the Messenger, spelling out who is meant. It shares his case, the nominative, as a renaming that pins down the reference.
When he heard this, he said: 'God forbid! We do not say he is a tyrant king, but a noble prophet. Whoever follows him is among the blessed, and likewise, whoever follows Moses is like one who follows Muhammad.'
مُحَمَّدًا — Muhammad. This is the proper name Muhammad, the object of the following verb, ending in the indefinite accusative mark that names show as the thing acted upon. It closes the comparison: like one who follows Muhammad.
