فَعَرَضَ ضِيَاعَهُ عَلَى الْبَيْعِ وَكَانَ النَّاسُ يَتَنَافَسُونَ فِيهَا
So he offered his possessions for sale, and people were competing for them.
ضِيَاعَهُ — his possessions. A noun with -hu fixing 'his' to it, standing as the object of the offering and so in the object-style ending. The 'his' points back to the elder, marking the estates as his.
