And his saying to Suraqa, 'Conceal us,' as commendable trust in God is not achieved by committing forbidden acts,
المَمْدُوحُ — the praised. This adjective describes that reliance and agrees with it in definiteness and in the subject-form ending, the way Arabic binds a describing word to its noun. It marks it as the commended sort.
