Arabic vocabulary
تَصْفِيَةَ is how you say “purification” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
مَنْ أَحَبَّ تَصْفِيَةَ الْأَحْوَالِ، فَلْيَجْتَهِدْ فِي تَصْفِيَةِ الْأَعْمَالِ،
Whoever loves to purify his inner states should strive to purify his deeds.
تَصْفِيَةَ — purification. An action-noun, 'purifying', standing as the thing loved, so it takes the object-style ending. It also heads an 'of' chain with the next word: 'the purifying of the states'. So it is at once the object of 'loves' and the possessed head leaning onto the owner that follows.
