الْمَقْرُوءَاتِ — the recited. A feminine plural passive participle 'the recited (ones)' modifying 'the verses'. Its passive sense names them as things that were read; it agrees with its noun in number, definiteness (carrying al-), and the genitive case, binding it to 'the verses'.
