Arabic vocabulary
How to say “relieve” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَفَرِّجْ عَنَّا مَا نَحْنُ فِيهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ الصَّخْرَةِ،
So relieve us from what we are in from this rock.
فَفَرِّجْ — so relieve. A command form 'relieve' aimed at God, fronted by fa-. The fa- marks this as the request that follows from the condition just laid out, so the plea reads as 'then, on that basis, relieve us'; the command shape carries its addressee without a pronoun.
