How to say “rescued” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ وَيْلَكُمْ أَلَسْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ مِنْ غِفَارٍ وَأَنَّ طَرِيقَ تِجَارِكُمْ إِلَى الشَّأْمِ فَأَنْقَذَهُ مِنْهُمْ،
He said, "Woe to you! Do you not know that he is from Ghifar and that your merchants travel to Syria, so he rescued him from them?"
فَأَنْقَذَهُ — so he rescued him. A fa- of result ('and so') prefixed to a past verb that carries 'he' inside, plus an attached -hu 'him' as its object. The fa- frames the rescuing as the consequence flowing from the situation just laid out.
