How to say “retinue” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَسَارَ أَصْحَابُهُ مَعَهُ وَبِعَدِّهِ فِي ضَوْءِ نُورِهِ سَالِمِينَ مِنَ الْعَدُوِّ وَغُرُورِهِ
His companions set out with him and with his retinue, walking in the light of his radiance, safe from the enemy and its deception.
وَبِعَدِّهِ — and with his retinue. Stacks the attached 'and' and 'with/by' prefixes plus an attached 'his' suffix onto one noun. The leading 'and' coordinates this with the previous phrase, the 'with' sets the genitive shape, and the suffix names the owner.
