How to say “Satan” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
رُوِيَ أَنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَعْنَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ
It was narrated that Satan, may God's curse be upon him, said.
الشَّيْطَانَ — Satan. A proper name made definite by al- ('the'), here the one whose words are reported. Because it sits right after the emphatic 'that', it takes the object (accusative) ending that 'anna' imposes on the noun it grips.
