Arabic vocabulary
نَجَّى is how you say “save” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
فقالوا إنه لا ينجيكم من هذه الصخرة إلا أن تدعوا الله بصالح أعمالكم
They said: 'Nothing will save you from this rock except that you call upon Allah by mentioning your righteous deeds.'
يُنَجِّيكُمْ — it will save you. This is a present-tense verb with the object pronoun -kum ('you', plural) fused onto its end, so one word means 'it saves you'. Sitting under the negation before it, it states that no rescue reaches the group; the doer is the 'nothing' that the negation sets up.
