O Adam, do not grieve over My saying to you: 'Get out of it,' for I created it for you and your righteous descendants.
وَلِصَالِحِ — and your righteous. wa- = 'and'; li- = 'for'; salih means 'righteous, good' — 'and for the righteous (of…)', heading an 'of…' phrase with the next word.

صَالِحًا — righteous. An adjective in the object-style ending as the predicate of the second 'to be' verb, matching the earlier 'righteous' to show the deed mirrors the inner state. The accusative-style ending again marks it as what the deed is said to be.

صَالِحٍ — righteous. This noun, righteous, is in the genitive because the preceding negating word 'other-than' owns it in a possessive pairing, 'other than righteous'. So the genitive here is forced by the chain, and the phrase amounts to 'not righteous'.

صَالِحًا — righteous. An adjective, 'righteous', describing the object before it. As an adjective it follows its noun and matches it in being indefinite, sharing the same object ending.

صَالِحًا — righteous. The predicate adjective of this second 'was' clause, again pushed into the accusative by the copula 'to be', which is what its ending signals. Its masculine shape agrees with the masculine deed it describes, completing 'his deed was righteous'.

بِصَالِحِ — with righteous. This is the preposition bi- ('by means of') fused onto a noun it forces into the 'of' (genitive) ending. It marks the instrument of the appeal, calling on God BY way of one's good deeds, and the noun heads a pairing with 'your deeds' that follows.
