خُطْبَتِهِ — his sermon. A noun 'sermon' with the 'his' suffix attached, the owning term completing 'delivering his sermon', hence the genitive. The possessor points to the imam; the attached pronoun makes the noun definite. It names what he set about presenting.

خُطْبَتِهِ — his speech. A noun with the attached -hi (his) marking the owner, in the genitive because the preposition 'in' governs it. The -hi points back to Abu Bakr: 'in his speech'.
