Arabic vocabulary
How to say “share” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
نُودُوا أَنِ اصْرِفُوهُمْ عَنْهَا فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا نَصِيبَ لَهُمْ فِيهَا
A voice called out: Turn them away from it, for they have no share in it.
نَصِيبَ — share. A noun, 'share / portion', denied outright by the absolute 'no' before it, carrying the ending that 'no' forces, the form meaning 'no share whatever'. Arabic marks total denial of a thing by this special construction.
