How to say “she spoke” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ فَتَكَلَّمَتْ عَائِشَةُ تَرُدُّ عَلَى زَيْنَبِ،
He said, and then Aisha spoke, replying to Zaynab.
فَتَكَلَّمَتْ — then she spoke. A connector 'then' prefixed to a past verb whose '-at' ending makes the doer a single female 'she'; the prefix marks sequence after the previous clause. So one word delivers 'and-then' plus 'she spoke', folding linkage, subject and tense together.
