How to say “shouting” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَعْلَنَ التَّائِبُونَ بِالصِّيَاحِ، وَتَسَاقَطُوا عَلَيْهِ تَسَاقُطُ الْفِرَاشِ عَلَى الْمِصْبَاحِ،
The repentant cried out, and they fell upon him like moths falling on a lamp.
بِالصِّيَاحِ — by shouting. The preposition bi- 'by/with' fused to a verbal noun, marking the means of the action: they announced by way of shouting. Bi- forces the genitive on the noun it rides, and together they describe the manner of the crying out.
