How to say “struck” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فالمدفوق الذي وقع عليه فعلك كالمكسور والمضروب
So "madfuq" is that which your action falls upon, like "maksur" (broken) and "madrub" (struck).
وَالْمَضْرُوبِ — and 'madrub'. wa- (and) on a preposition-carried passive participle made definite by al-, 'and the struck one', continuing the comparison. It is a third maf'ul-pattern 'done-to' noun, parallel to the previous example.
