Arabic vocabulary
How to say “the boy” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيُكَلِّفُونَ بِحُبِّي كَمًّا يُكَلِّفُ الصَّبِيَّ بِحَبِّ النَّاسِ
They are made to bear my love to an extent that burdens the boy with love for the people.
الصَّبِيَّ — the boy. This is a definite noun, carrying 'the', that serves as the thing being burdened, the direct object of the verb before it. Its object-form ending is what tells you the boy is the one acted upon, not the one acting. It is the receiver of the imposed load in the comparison.
