How to say “the houses” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَلْيُهْدِيهِ إِلَيْهِ حَيْثُ كَانَ مِنْ بُيُوتِ نِسَائِهِ،
So let him give it to him wherever he was from the houses of his wives.
بُيُوتِ — the houses. A plural noun in the genitive because the 'from' preposition before it governs it; that ending ties it to the preposition as the source-set. It also heads a possessive pairing with 'his wives' after it, so it means the houses belonging to them.
