النَّبِيَّ — the Prophet. A noun carrying 'the' and standing as the subject of the reported clause, yet wearing the object-style ending because the particle before it demands that form. So its case is governed by the introducing particle, not by its role in the clause. The definiteness marks it as the well-known figure of the report.
