How to say “the reciters” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَنَّهُ يَصْعَدُ الْمِنْبَرَ، وَيَبْتَدِئُ الْقَارِئِينَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ،
That he ascends the pulpit, and the reciters begin the recitation.
القراء — the reciters. A definite plural noun 'the reciters', the subject of the 'begin' verb, so it takes the subject-style ending. The al- makes the group definite. It names the doers who launch into reciting at the start of the scene.
