How to say “the steadfast” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهُمْ الَّذِينَ نَالُوا مَعِيَّةَ اللَّهِ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
And they are those who attained God's companionship with the steadfast.
الصَّابِرِينَ — the steadfast. An active participle in the plural, used as a standing noun for 'the patient ones', in the genitive after 'with'. Arabic regularly turns such doer-participles into group nouns, and here it names the company in whose midst the companionship is found.
