How to say “companionship” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وحمايته لَهُم ومعيته الْخَاصَّة لَهُم
And His protection for them and His special companionship for them.
وَمَعِيَّتُهُ — and His companionship. 'And' plus an abstract noun 'with-ness / togetherness' (built from the word 'with') plus '-hi' (His) attached — His being-with-them. The '-iyya' ending turns 'with' into the noun 'companionship'.
From: Humility Before the Divine →وَهُمْ الَّذِينَ نَالُوا مَعِيَّةَ اللَّهِ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
And they are those who attained God's companionship with the steadfast.
مَعِيَّةَ — companionship. This noun is the object of 'attained' and heads a possessive pairing with the divine name after it, giving 'companionship of God'. As the first term it drops any 'the' of its own and draws definiteness from the owner that follows.
