How to say “the truthful ones” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ أَخَافُ مِنْ شَيْئَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا اِسْتِعَاذَةُ الْمُسْتَعِيذِينَ وَالثَّانِيُ شُعَاعُ مَعْرِفَةِ الصَّادِقِينَ
He said, "I fear two things: one of them is the seeking of refuge by those who seek refuge, and the other is the radiance of the knowledge of the truthful ones."
الصَّادِقِينَ — the truthful ones. An active participle in the plural, 'the truthful ones', made definite by 'al-' and closing the possessive chain 'the radiance of the knowledge of the truthful', so it sits in the genitive as the final owner. The chain set together carries every 'of' with no separate word. It names whose knowledge gives off the dreaded light.
