حَتَّى يَدْخُلُ فِي النَّوْعِ الثَّانِيِّ مِنْ مَعْنَى الْعَبْدِ وَهُوَ الْعَبْدُ بِمَعْنَى الْعَابِدِ
until it enters the second sense of the word "slave", which is the sense of "worshipper".
النَّوْعِ — the type. A definite noun governed by 'in', so it is genitive, naming the category, 'the type/sense'. It is the head of a possessive pair completed further on by 'of the slave'.
From: What Worship Really Means →وَفِيهِمْ مَنْ يُبَارِزُ بِالذُّنُوبِ الْعَظِيمَةِ، مَعَ نَوْعِ مَعْرِفَةِ الْمَنَاهِيِ
Among them are those who brazenly commit grave sins while having only a limited knowledge of the prohibitions.
نَوْعِ — a kind of. A noun, 'a kind/sort of', that here softens what follows into 'only a degree of'. It heads an 'of' chain with the next word, so it sits before 'knowledge' as the possessed head and is itself governed into the 'of'-style ending by 'with'. The effect is to limit the knowledge to a partial amount.
