Arabic vocabulary
How to say “their station” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ شَرَّفَهُمْ وَأَعْلَى مَنْزِلَتَهُمْ بِدُخُولِهِمْ الإِسْلَامِ،
And that God honored them and elevated their station by their entering Islam,
مَنْزِلَتَهُمْ — their station. A noun 'station / rank' with -hum ('their') attached, the owner folded onto its tail — 'their station'. It is the thing raised, the direct object of 'elevated', so it takes the object ending. The -hum points back to the Companions, naming whose standing God lifted.
