Arabic vocabulary
How to say “those who will drive me out” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوَمُخْرِجِيَّ هُمْ
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Or are they the ones who will drive me out?"
مُخْرِجِيَّ — those who will drive me out. An active participle, a noun-like 'the ones who would drive (me) out', with the 'me' object fused onto its end. The doubled ending packs in both a plural sense and that attached object, so a single word carries 'those who will expel me', and the pronoun 'they' after it is what it predicates.
