How to say “to His servants” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وَقد تجلى الله فِيهِ لِعِبَادِهِ وَصِفَاته
And God has manifested Himself in it to His servants and His attributes.
لِعِبَادِهِ — to His servants. 'Li-' (to/for) fused with 'servants' plus '-hi' (His) attached, genitive — to whom the disclosure is made. The 'li-' marks the recipients.
From: Reflecting on God's Names →الَّذِي نَصَبَهُ اللَّهُ لِعِبَادِهِ فِي هَذِهِ الدَّارِ
which God has set it up for His servants in this world.
لِعِبَادِهِ — for His servants. Three pieces in one word: the preposition li- ('for'), the noun 'servants', and an attached -hi ('His'). So it means 'for His servants', marking those the path was set up for. The -hi points back to God, and the preposition forces the noun into the genitive ending.
