Arabic vocabulary
How to say “unveil/reveal” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وتجئ الفتنة فيقول المؤمن هذه مهلكتي، ثم تنكشف؛
And a trial will come, and the believer will say: 'This is my destruction,' then it will pass;
تَنْكَشِفُ — it will be unveiled. A present-tense verb in the reflexive pattern meaning 'it clears/lifts of itself', with a built-in 'it' subject referring to the trial. The reflexive shape gives the sense that the trial passes off on its own; the present form projects it forward as what will then happen.
