Arabic vocabulary
How to say “we meet” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَٱغْفِرْ فِدَاءٌ لَكَ مَا اِقْتَفَيْنَا وَثَبِّّتْ الْأَقْدَامَ إِنْ لَاقَيْنَا
So forgive us; let what we have followed be a ransom for you, and make our steps firm if we meet.
لَاقَيْنَا — we meet. A finished-action verb with -na, 'we', built in; inside the 'if' frame its past shape reads as a future possibility, if we should meet. The condition particle, not the verb's own form, supplies that prospective sense.
