Arabic vocabulary
نَفْيٍ is how you say “a denial” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
فيه من حكم أو خبر أو أثبت ما نفاه أو نفي ما أثبته وهو عالم بذلك أو يشك في شئ من ذلك
It contains a ruling or a report, or he affirmed what he had denied, or denied what he had affirmed; he is aware of that, or doubts something of it.
نَفْيٍ — a denial. A verbal noun 'denying/denial', naming the act in noun form to parallel the offences listed. As a verbal noun it turns a verb's idea into a thing the sentence can list. It heads the mirror clause set against the earlier 'affirmed'.
