Arabic vocabulary
How to say “a report” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهُوَ بَعْدَ هَذَا وَاللَّهِ لَهُ نَبَأٌ عَظِيمٌ وَخَطَرٌ جَلِيلٌ
And after this, by God, for him is a great report and a weighty, grave matter.
نَبَأٌ — a report. An indefinite noun (no 'the') naming the great tiding, serving as the thing he 'has' in the possession frame set up before it. Being indefinite keeps it open and weighty, 'a great matter', the new information the clause delivers.
