How to say “a special excellence” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَمَا خَصَّ بِهِ زَمَانِهِمْ مِنْ خَيْرِيَّةٍ عَلَى الْقُرُونِ،
and the special excellence with which their time was singled out over the generations,
خَيْرِيَّةٍ — excellence. The object of the explicative 'of', hence genitive, and indefinite (the -in tanween you can hear). It names the quality their era was distinguished by, an excellence held over the other generations.
