How to say “adherence” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْعَبْدُ مَأْمُورٌ بِمُلازَمَةِ الأَدَبِ
And the servant is commanded to adhere to proper manners.
بِمُلازَمَةِ — to adhere to. 'bi-' = 'with/to'; 'mulazama' = 'sticking closely to', so 'to keep close to'; it joins the next word.
From: Taming the Lower Self →واللذيذ أحمد لولا الإكثار منه وملازمة الطعام التفه
Delicious food is praiseworthy, were it not for overeating it, and sticking to bland food.
وَمُلَازَمَةُ — and sticking to. This action-noun, 'keeping constantly to', is fronted by the bound wa- 'and' that ties it to the previous spoiler. As a verb turned noun it names the act of sticking to something, and it heads a possessive pairing with the noun that follows, owning it.
