Abu Musa al-Ash'ari reported that he performed ablution in his house, then he went out.
الأَشْعَرِيُّ — al-Ash'ari. A 'belonging-to' adjective formed from a tribe/place name, marking affiliation, and carrying al- to agree as definite with the name it describes. Arabic turns a noun into such a relational adjective by a fixed ending.
