How to say “al-Hajun” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
He said, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ordered that his banner be planted at al-Hajun.
بِالْحَجُونِ — at al-Hajun. The preposition bi- ('at') glued to the article-bearing place-name, so one word means 'at al-Hajun'. It marks where the banner was to be planted and forces the name into the genitive.
