  الأُخْرَى — another. 'the other [one],' feminine (matching the feminine 'habit'), in the -i form after 'to.' One small habit drags you to ANOTHER — the chain of good habits, each pulling the next into being.

  Whoever lives by deceit, trickery, and cunning will inevitably face disgrace in this world and contempt in the next, even if they gain prominence.

  الْأُخْرَى — the next. Genitive after 'in', this is 'the other [life]', i.e. the hereafter. Its fixed final long 'a' never shifts for case, so position tells its role. So disgrace here, contempt there — both unavoidable.
