How to say “as if” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
مِثْلَ مَا أَنَّكَ هَهُنَا فَكَأَنَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْقُرْآنَ حَقٌّ
Just as you are here, it is as if He, Glory be to Him, is saying that the Quran is true.
فَكَأَنَّهُ — it is as if. A comparison particle 'as if' fused with a leading particle and an attached 'it/He' ending as its subject, 'so it is as if He'. It likens the situation to God speaking, and holds its following subject in the accusative.
